Cookies, cookies, and more cookies!

Iím making my dad a ton of different cookies for Fatherís Day. Well really Iím making the cookie dough balls and freezing them, so he can pop a couple in the oven whenever he feels like it. So far Iíve made chocolate chip, oatmeal, and snickerdoodles. Iím going to make sugar cookies, peanut butter, and maybe molasses crinkles too.

The best part is I have to taste test them, of course, so Iím baking 1-2 for me out of each batch!

My favorite is chocolate chip, hands down. What is your favorite kind of cookie?

What a great gift!

Chocolate chip will always be the best. Just the traditional basic recipe.

Back in the early 90s I got the Neiman Marcus chocolate chip cookie recipe that is amazing, though. It has shredded chocolate bars in it.

I made black and white cookies for the first time at Easter and we all loved them.

I also love the Christmas cookies from my childhood that have honey and lemon in them. I still make them every year.

They have amazing recipes on their websites. The recipe with shredded chocolate, peanut butter, and blended oatmeal is amazing. There is also a recipe with espresso powder that is dark chocolate dream. Check out their website.

That sounds delicious!

My favorite are iced sugar cookies- like the kind people make at Christmas time usually.

I am somewhat picky about cookies. They HAVE to be soft and even slightly under cooked is best. I don't like hard cookies at all. I've never understood why so many like girl scout cookies- waste of calories to me.

I recently saw an ad that I did not need to see about a cookie shop in my area. I want to try it but I'm kind of afraid to try it . Cookies are probably the number one thing I can't handle portion control for. I greatly admire people who can just eat one!

I love cookies so much I don't know that I can pick a favorite. I think, though, that they mostly involve oatmeal. Oatmeal chocolate chunk. Oatmeal ranger cookies. Oatmeal raisin. Oatmeal pecan. Oatmeal berry bars.
Kinda like Bubba Gump, only oatmeal cookies.

We HAVE to have orange carrot cookies at Christmas.

And for bake sales, I make cake mix cookies. Cheap, quick to make, and easy to vary flavors and mix-ins.

Your dad is lucky to have a loving daughter who likes to bake. All your cookies sound delicious but if I had to pick just one, it would be chocolate chip.

Sounds like a delicious gift!

The favorite cookie in our house has to be chocolate butterscotch chip. Way back when DH and I were dating he stopped over while I was baking. He suggested substituting butterscotch chips for half the chocolate chips in my recipe. I did it just to make him happy, we were dating and young and in love. Well, it turned out fantastic. We got married, have 3 kids, and I have not made plain chocolate chip cookies in over 27 years.

What a great Father's day gift. I'm sure your dad will appreciate all the time and thought you've put into this perfect gift for him.

I'm a chocolate chip fan, too!

I would not turn down a single one mentioned!

One of my favorites is the 4 ingredients Almond Joy cookie. The recipe is all over the web. So good.

Has to be peanut butter. I can take or leave choc.chip. Molasses crinkles are next, warm from the oven dunked in milk.
