Coffee Maker Recommendations

It occurred to me that this is what I should ask for for my birthday. I don't have one at home because I only drink coffee on work days, and we always had free coffee in the lounge. This year, I'll possibly be working from home again, but this time on a regular school schedule where I'll have to be up and teaching in front of my computer sometime between 7-8 (not sure of exact schedule yet). If I am in the building, there's no coffee this year due to a covid related no shared food items rule .

So, what do I want? I like the ease of something like a Kuerig, but they seem pretty expensive. I'm also guessing those little pods are more expensive than buying bags of coffee? OTOH, it would be wasteful to brew a whole pot just for myself...especially if I am in the building and am just filling up my to go mug on the way out the door.

I love my Keurig. You can use your own coffee in a refillable pod if you want. I have this one. It is pretty basic, but it makes a good cup of coffee.

We decided to ditch the keurig a year ago and bought a little 4 Mr. Coffee. It makes enough for me and my partner to have one cup in the morning. We are very happy with the change.

I am not a fan of Keurig coffee. It always seems a bit weak to me. Plus, one of our 4th grade teachers did a project with her students and the amount of waste with the pods was unbelievable!

We have a Ninja Coffee Bar. You can make a single cup, a travel mug, 1/2 a pot, or a whole pot. It also has a cold brew option.

You just measure the amount of coffee, you don't need to measure the water out.

We have had it for about 4 years now with no issues and we use it several times a day.

We have had Braun, and, other expensive coffee pots. Now we have a good old Mr. Coffee. Simple and dependable. You don't have to make a whole put. Those coffee pods are terrible for the environment.

I make 4 cups in my 10 cup Cuisinart coffeemaker at home and pour it into a 16 oz thermos to take with me. At school, I have a small 4 cup coffee maker for the days I forgot or need more. Works out great for me!

If you decide on a Keurig, you can use your own coffee in a refillable pod. It is less expensive and more environmentally sound.

I would like a a Ninja Coffee Bar myself, but my Keurig still works fine.

We have a 12 cup that we bought at the grocery store. It takes just minutes to brew. No extra gadgets on my model I just start it when I wake up and within 5 minutes I am enjoying my first cup. The coffee grounds you put in makes all the difference.

I like the ease of my keurig. I use the pod twice to save money. I want my coffee readily available and I donít want to constantly wash a regular coffee pot. My dd has a nespresso. Their pods are expensive but it makes really good coffee.

I love my Oxo coffeemaker. It is pricey but well worth the cost. I got it from Amazon.

I donít drink coffee and donít like a lot of stuff on my countertops, so I got a small one for guests. Unfortunately, then Covid hit, so it sits in the cupboard.
