Anyone Else Not Interested in Black Friday?

I don't go shopping on Black Friday and will be avoiding the stores today. I don't do well in crowds. Is anyone else with me?

You couldn't pay me to get near the mall today! There are great deals online, too.

I am not a fan of peoply situations on a good day. I am very happy to be here on my couch, still in my pajamas. I will remain in this state all day!

Online only, wasn't to avoid crowds! Not too many left to buy for this year. Which makes me happy.

I always go out for a bit. It gets me in the Christmas spirit! Only once did I go out crazy early when the kids were little. I was successful, but decided standing in a line to get an item wasn't my thing. This was before internet was so wildly popular!

We donít like crowds and have never shopped on Black Friday.

DH and I are relaxing with our coffee and watching James Bond movies after a light breakfast. Besides, itís cold and rainy. Perfect day to spend inside with each other and the pets!

I don't like feeding the "consumerism" beast. Heck, I don't like shopping in an empty store.

Nope, not going to the mall today. I did buy water park season passes online for my niece and nephew for Christmas but that's it. I'm watching Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck in Roman Holiday right now. I may put up Christmas decorations this afternoon.

Yes, to good Black Friday deals. No to shopping on Thanksgiving.

We went earlier today. Our last store was Penneyís and the clerk said they busy yesterday. There were very little crowds this morning and no crazy traffic. I am guessing most went yesterday?

Plaid Friday

Our downtown in hosting Plaid Friday, and i am heading out soon. There are special events, and treats, and discounts for anyone wearing plaid. They have done it for several years, and it is a fun way to encourage businesses and shoppers.
Plus, walking around for a couple of hours in the fresh air will do me good!

I'm not a fan of Black Friday shopping at the mall or in stores, but I do like to browse online.

I have a friend who goes every year and posts hilarious pictures and comments on Facebook about her Black Friday adventures.

No fan here either, unless I really need something ONLINE. I'll browse online because I'm in the comfortability of my own home. I haven't had the need to get anything on Black Friday for as long as I can remember.

I think the last and only time I went out on Black Friday was with my mom just for fun and I must have been in my early 20s if I recall.

1 hour later...
OK, just ordered 2 sweaters from Express.

I hate shopping in general- but had to run to Home Depot to pick something up for a project. I live in a suburb of DC, so everything is always terrible. Parking was crowded, and so was the store- but I parked and got in and out in 12 minutes. Yes, I timed it- thatís how much I hate it 😂

I never shopped on Black Friday and I never will. I live by two large malls. We wonít even drive near them during the weekend until the holidays are over because the traffic is that bad. I shop online a lot now.

I'm not one who normally goes out because I'm tired from Thanksgiving at my house. I have some years, gone out later in the day and all is fine then.

I ordered DH an iPad just now. Other than that no Christmas shopping is getting done today. I did run to the small hometown Walmart because I needed shampoo. What a zoo! I almost decided to not wash my hair this weekend and go home. That was at noon. I am not an online shopper. DH and I both take a Wednesday off in early Dec and go to the city for the day to do all of our shopping. We have a fun day, do not have to deal with a lot of shopper traffic, and go out for dinner. Then, on the weekend we open a wine bottle, or two, put on comfy pajamas, listen to Christmas music, and wrap presents. This has been our tradition for about 28 years, starting before we were married.

I actually had to drive to a nearby shopping mall to meet my son to give my granddaughters back to him. They wanted to stay with me last night, so the plan was to meet him today. The mall is halfway between our houses. Traffic was unbelievable. I thought I was meeting him in a relatively low-traffic area. I didn't even go into a store, but it was crazy.

I stay away from stores on Black Friday - but my DD called and let me know about a 50% off sale on Keens shoes. I went to the site, because I wanted some boots. The sale must have changed, because it was 20%. off.

I didn't see any I wanted there. So, I went to another site advertising 50% off, but the boots I liked were not on sale. I just bought a pair of boots for full price on Black Friday. They better last forever!
