At the end of each school year, my kids get their teachers a book and they write a letter inside as part of a thank you gift. I am looking for some new suggestions. Some of the books in the past have been Thank you Mr. Falker, Mrs. Spitzer's Garden, Only One You and The Bucket Filler Books.
Thanks for the suggestions!!

What a thoughtful gift for teachers. You don't say how old your kids are but here are some ideas

Miss Rumphius by Barbara Cooney. The theme is making a difference in the world- so the student note could include " my world is a more beautiful place because you are in it."

32 Third Graders and One Class Bunny by Philip Dune. Humorous stories of life in a classroom.

Dr. Seuss' The Places You'll Go. And the note can say something about how far the teacher has helped your child go.

The Upside Down Boy/El Nino de Cabeza by Juan Felipe Herrera is a bilingual story based on the author's experiences in third grade. It is a tribute to his wise teacher, Mrs. Sampson.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions. There were a couple titles I didn't know, so I'm off to the bookstore. I forgot about Miss Rumphius. I love that book, and we might do that for one the teachers. My kids are in 5th and K.

We found the book Exclamation Point by Amy Krouse Rosenthal. If you haven't read it, it is a great book for celebrating your gifts and being who you were mean to be. We gave it to two teachers today and it was a HUGE hit.
