Another Walmart story
Old 07-14-2011, 01:43 PM

Clip to ScrapBook #1

After reading the last two that were posted I knew I had to post one of my friend's very recent experiences. I still don't even know what to say about her little rendezvous!

Here was the conversation she had with a cashier at Walmart as the girl was bagging some shirts she bought:

My friend: Oh don't worry about folding the clothes just put them in the bag...

Walmart Rep: Yeah I don't iron my clothes either. As a matter of fact I don't wash my jeans...people think that's gross (this isn't the worst part people keep reading and remember my friend was a customer) but I don't. It's only gross if you have a dirty private area (and yes, the Walmart girl used the real word for it) and I don't I have a clean private area...

Friend: {silent}

So does anyone else feel violated after hearing about this?! I honest to goodness don't even know what to say about it!

all I have to say is, WTH is with Walmart and creepy people?!?!? I mean, really. Seriously, come on people. Some of us just want to do our shopping and not be violated in some way/shape/form. Seriously.

I hope your friend told the manager about the cashier's comment. That's just gross...and why she would feel the need to tell anyone that, I don't know. Ugh!

...and that is why I cannot stand to go into a Walmart. I've always said that store makes me itch. Now I know why.

I agree with Mooba....I would rather spend a few extra cents for an item at target than go to Walmart for the reason alone of all the crazys it attracts and hires them.

Wow! That is really gross
I never shop there anymore due to political/union issues... However, a friend was recently at the one near us and saw a lady (and I use the term loosely) changing a bikini top in the middle of the aisle. Apparently, the one she tried first was too small There were many people around (and children!) Luckily, a clerk ushered her back to the changing room.

She needs to be repremanded for that type of conversation with a customer. Especially, one she doesn't know! I like Target much better, but where I live you really have no choice ...Wal-Mart

That is so true! I'll have to ask her if she washed her stuff in hot water 5 times first before wearing it. Yuck!

I'm sorry; I know it's gross. But it made me laugh. I would have been struck dumb and just stood there and stared at her. Catatonic. They would have had to put me on a two-wheel hand cart and rolled me out of there. WOW!

(Oh, and #1,169--Don't ask what that means. You'll have to go on a scavenger hunt through my messages to figure it out. Sorry. I have a wicked sense of humor that can veer towards being just a tad sarcastic.)

I agree TimeforBed. I get this nervous giggle and just shake my head sometimes...that would have been one of those times!

I am embarrassed by just reading this...

Besides the gross factor doesn't her jeans get saggy after a wear or 2 or is that just mine?

Okay, seriously, WHERE do these people come from?! I have been to several Wal-Marts in my life and they are all the same! Seems like you never see these kind of people ANYWHERE else...

That is simply nasty. My own Walmart story pales in comparison...a couple weeks ago I stopped by Walmart on the way to the gym. I was wearing a pretty cute workout outfit...a black sport skort with pink stitching, with a pink stretchy top (one of those that is supposed to help keep you cool). So as the bagger is bagging my items, she says "Oh, I really wish I could find a swimsuit like that!" And then proceeds to tell me all about her swimsuit shopping adventures and what she bought and how much it cost...but what she really wanted was a swimsuit just like mine. I was absolutely speechless....first of all, my outfit did not in any way resemble any swimsuit I've ever seen.....plus, why on earth would I be shopping in Walmart in my swimsuit. Seriously....I didn't know if I should feel sorry for her for being so dumb, or angry that she insulted me, categorizing me with the trashy People of Walmart.
