Crazy snow picture

I wanted to share this picture I got from a site called BoingBoing.net - this picture was taken in Connecticut - with 40" of snow that had drifted. Nuts.

This would scare the crap out of me. Fortunately, exterior doors open inwardly, or they wouldn't be able to open the door.

Holy cow!

I live in southern California where I have to drive up to the mountains to see snow. That sight is unreal!

Similar in massachusetts....when the driving ban was lifted we had driven a town over to clean out my grandparents who were literally snowed-in...we had to shovel out the front and side doors so they could get anywhere.

Guess I won't complain about our blizzard here last year anymore. I had snow clear up to my waist as I was shoveling my sidewalks outside my front door. That picture makes my situation sound like just a little snow!

I saw a similar picture but the homeowner carved a couple of shelves into the door drift and stored the beer on them. Best 'fridge ever!

similar site at my house

I had 36 inches at my house in CT. Not a pretty site these last few days...yes, we felt trapped! The snow is up to the top railing of the deck in the back and our porch in the front! Mailboxes are completely covered up. We've never seen anything like this!
