I've noticed in recent posts a lot of talk about Maine for one reason or another. Does anyone have any pictures?

My grandfather's land in Stonington, Maine

This piece of land came into the family in 1839. My grandfather grew up here and deeded over a piece of it to my mother, who in turn deeded it to my brother, sister, and myself. I still have the original deed.

(I didn't take this picture.)

How pretty! Thanks for taking the time to post pictures. I've never been anywhere near that part of the country.

Sorry, I don't have any pictures, but DW and I visited Maine for the first time last summer. We weren't there long and spent most of our time in the southern part of the state, but we can't wait to go back.

Thanks for all the beautiful photos!
I will be in New England starting today. Is there foliage in Boston? I recall when I was there last year around this time there wasn't much yet. We're also heading to Canada and will be driving up through NH and Vermont and return through Maine. Any suggestions for staying in Maine? Nothing fancy since we are budget conscious, but do like walking/hiking. The weather doesn't look too promising, with rain in the forecast. I would love to take pictures like the ones you all posted.

Seaglass, thank you. I am looking forward to the foliage in Maine. Iím in Quebec right now and there isnít much left, but we did see a lot of beautiful color in Boston and when driving through New Hampshire.
