What is your favorite series of books to read to your class? I have the Junie B. Jones books and those are fun but I'm curious about what others are reading and what your kids like.

Thanks

This year I read the Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle series. My students loved them. They are ones that need to be done as a read-a-loud and some of the language is from the 50's/60's. However, my 1st graders loved them and looked forward each day to reading them. I started reading them in March!

Hank the Cow Dog series. Laughable and you really get the kids hooked on ranch life. Hank usually gets blamed for all that goes wrong. The first book was my favorite.

My first graders love these books. (It's Anatasia's little brother) All About Sam (starts when he is born and tells about his first 3 years from his perspective) and Attaboy Sam (where he makes the perfume for his mom and it explodes)

They also LOVE Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and James and the Giant Peach. (If you don't weary of hearing about the movie!!!) Right now we are reading Witches (also by Roal Dahl). I tried to talk them out of it because it is SO scary, but they really wanted to hear it!

Mr. Popper's Penguins

My Robot Buddy

The Drugstore Cat

Flat Stanley
