Just saw your update below. I'm so glad you could get in earlier. I hope everything is benign and you can set this worry aside. Thinking wonderful thoughts for your biopsy results and a quick recovery!

Praying for you!!

Iíve had 2 different kinds of needle biopsies! They werenít fun, but so thankful we have this technology to do them vs a full biopsy! Minimal invasion of your body!

You all are the BEST! I kept coming back and reading all your encouragement and really appreciated the positive thoughts and prayers. And yes, I did stay busy and prayed often.

So today's appt. was not for the biopsy. It was for meeting the doctor to explain what was going on. I knew him from the past... his daughter was in my class years ago and he went to my church before getting a divorce. I had not seen him in years but he recognized me and my husband immediately. He talked to me directly and explained the process I had been thru so far. Then he said " you do not have cancer". I have a high level of calcification that could lead to cancer. The biopsy will determine the next step, probably a lumpectomy. If any of the cells show cancer tendencies, then maybe radiation. He checked my breasts (both) and said there were no lumps. He also said the radiologist who ready the scans this week was the best and she knew what she was looking for.... calcification. So next Wed. I will go to the outpatient center for the biopsy. Will have to wait a few days for results of course. If the cells are benign, no treatment. IThen we go from there.

AGAIN: No Cancer. My mind had raced that it had spread to my lymph nodes and that I would have major surgeries and chemo. I am so relieved.

I know i am not out of the woods yet, but I feel like a heavy weight has been lifted. When the nurse called yesterday, she used the words Highly Suspicious tumors and that I did not have time to wait. Thank you all so so so much this week. YOU are the BEST Friends ever!

So nice to have a doctor who understands the patient and does everything in his power to put you at ease. It sounds like you are in good hands. Good luck with the rest of your procedures and outcomes.

Hurray for no cancer! That is great news! What a poor choice of words from the nurse. I'm sorry for my misunderstanding about the biopsy piece

Thanks for updating
