Porch pirate story

Iíve never had anything stolen off my porch before. Today some guy (kind of looked sketchy) rides his bike down my driveway and heís clutching an opened Amazon delivery bag. Tells me that some ďpunksĒ took it off my porch. I donít remember how he told me he got it back. Well anyway, it was my little case of fancy feast for the cats .

When he leaves, my neighbour comes across the street and tells me that it was the guy on the bike that actually stole it! He mustíve opened it, decided he didnít want it for some reason he brought it back to me and made up some story. maybe he likes animals and didnít want the cats to go hungry.

I imagine everybody saw him, Iím on a fairly busy road and it was in the middle of the day . I think he was gone a while before he brought it back because I heard a knocking on my front door about an hour before but I didnít answer it because I didnít know who it was.

Ha! A few years ago, a porch pirate dumped an opened Amazon delivery a couple homes away from me. After a bit of sleuthing, we found out the neighbor all the way up the block were the rightful owners. Evidently, the thief saw a big box (right around holiday time) and assumed there must some expensive gifts in it. He must have been very disappointed to open it and find an order of paper towels and other cleaning supplies inside

Starr--if that was at the start of COVID, that would have been treasure indeed!

Maybe the thief, after opening the package and deeming it worthless to him, brought it back with the fake story in hopes that you would thank him and offer a reward!

GraceKrispy, so true--and can you imagine if it had been an order of toilet paper back at the start of covid?? He'd have hit the jackpot! Unfortunately for him, it was a good couple years before covid

That's hysterical! You would think a better lie would be saying it was incorrectly delivered to his address, but then I guess he wouldn't be the hero who fought off the punks.

I'd say it's a victory for cats, but to tell you the truth, I agree he was hoping for some money for bringing it back. You should have done a cat thing and simply licked your "paw" and ignored him.
