1. My Oura says I usually get between 5-6 hours of sleep. My Oura is very disappointed in me and keeps giving me a low score because of it.

2. I havenít been since I tore my meniscus last summer but I decided enough was enough and went back to the gym this week. Extremely light cardio and weights. Four days in a row and counting.

3. Yep. Thanks Mom for giving us a little nest egg. I would rather have you back though.

4. My kid is a hoot. Even on the hard days, heís usually good for at least one giggle.

1. I sleep an average of eight hours every night. A bit more in the winter when I tend to hibernate.

2. I get at least 30 minutes or more of exercise every day. I walk 2-3 miles daily, and 3 times a week I lift modest weights for upper body strength. I also use a stretch band for some other muscles.

3. I use to be a very good saver but now at seventy I don’t save as much since I can’t take it with me. I buy whatever I need or want, but my tastes are not fancy or expensive.

4. Yes, my dog and my backyard trees and plants make me smile every day, as does getting together with friends or family, either in person or by phone. Just being retired makes me smile!

Thank you, Amiga, for some good questions!

1. How many hours sleep do you average nightly? I average 7.
2. Do you get at least 30 minutes of exercise daily? No, and I really need to
3. Do you manage to save at least a little $ every month? I put a lot into my 403b each month so I consider that savings even though it's taken straight from my check. Money in my checking account is spent as I want, but there's not much I want so I end up with a nice chunk.
4. Does something make you smile every day? My cats usually.

Thank you, Amiga.
I appreciate looking at the ways that we are practicing self care.

I sleep between 7 and 8 hours nightly.

My iWatch is currently trending with 90 minutes of exercise daily. This includes my laps, aquajogging, and aqua cardio classes. (This doubles as my social time too.)

Most months we roll some income into savings.

I love cooking and serving a great meal to my DH who expresses his appreciation. I also love waking up to a new and putting my feet on the floor.

I need seven to eight hours nightly or I might be grumpy the next day.

Not lately. It has been brutally cold, windy, and snowy the last two months. Hopefully March will be better so I can get out and walk.

The last two years all I've done is save. There are several big-ticket items that I need and I'm ready to spend, spend, spend.

Often times it's something I read here on PT.

1. How many hours sleep do you average nightly? 7 hours

2. Do you get at least 30 minutes of exercise daily? I am an avid walker so I get about 2+ hours of exercise everyday.

3. Do you manage to save at least a little $ every month? We saved/invested for many years in order to retire in our same lifestyle. No need to save now.

4. Does something make you smile every day? My grands, sunshine and life, make me smile.

1. I get between 6-8 hours, but I do tend to wake up at about 3:00 am and it may take about 15-30 minutes to fall back asleep.

2. I walk on the treadmill 30 minutes 5 x a week. On my "off" days I may not exercise but I am active.

3. I am retired and no longer putting money into investments, but I still have ample money leftover at the end of the month and I pretty much buy whatever I want. I do put a bit of money in a savings account each month so I guess I do!

4. My cats for sure!

1. 7 hours of sleep

2. At least a 30-60 minute walk daily. I really need to do yoga and strength exercises too...but I usually don't.

3. I'm retired and not working very hard on saving these days, but I live comfortably within my means and don't have to dip into savings to cover my usual expenses. Some months I save quite a bit; other months I break even. Occasionally I dip into savings for a specific purpose, like travel.

4. Yes, I have a generally happy disposition and plenty to be grateful for!

(Today I am feeling a little generalized anxiety, which is atypical for me. I think it's a combination of the world news and my upcoming travel to TX to visit ds. But I can still smile!)

1) I'd say at least 7 hours of sleep each night, most nights
2) No, I'm awful about exercise.
3) In my state, almost 15% is taken out of my paycheck for retirement. It's an excellent system, both my parents benefit from it and are better off than their cousins who worked longer and are now retired.
4) yes, something makes me smile every day. I am fortunate to have a generally positive attitude and outlook.

Thank you! Good questions to just stop and think about.

1. On work night I tend to get about 5-6 hours. It's not enough.

2. Not daily, but several times a week. And it's not always vigorous.

3. Yes.

4. Absolutely. No way to spend a day with kindergartners without smiles and laughter.

I sleep 7-8 hours but it takes me 10 hours to get that because of wake-ups!

I try to walk 30-60 minutes a day. Today it was icy so I walked at the mall.

So far (18 months into retirement) Iíve managed to have a bit left at the end of each month.

If nothing else I smile at the squirrels and birds on my patio every day!

1. Good question. Often not enough, sometimes a lovely night.
2. If walking through campus counts, then yes. If you are talking actual exercise, then no, not daily. But I'm working on it! I was much better when I was working part time.
3. I try.
4. Most days I find many things to make me smile
