dh: he made it through the night being able to pee on his own. Praying that he continues to be able to. We got the surgery date for March 15th. This week coming up will be pre op stuff.

dd: She was diagnosed with POTS which has nothing to do with her depression and anxiety. That's separate. Hoping that the lexapro kicks in soon.
Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome
Also called: POTS
OVERVIEW
SYMPTOMS
TREATMENTS
SPECIALISTS
Symptoms related to the reduced blood volume that occurs when standing up.
This syndrome is usually triggered when a person stands up after lying down. It most commonly affects women between the ages of 15 and 50.
Symptoms include lightheadedness, fainting, and rapid heartbeat, which are relieved by lying down again.
Adding extra salt to the diet, increasing fluids, and taking medications can help the disorder.

She has all those symptoms

Thank you all sooooo much for your advice and support. I really need it!!

I am glad to hear the news about your DH.

I bet it is a relief to have a diagnosis for your DD.

Great news about DH!!! May he continue to freely pee!!!

DD needs to consume an obscene amount of water!!!! Yup, it really does help!

That is all good news. It is so weird how certain diseases/syndromes mimic mental disease. Im not saying mental disease isn’t serious or true…..just that things like POTS can make it difficult to diagnose.

So happy for your DH.

So glad to read your report! The tone of your post is so much more hopeful now that you are getting some long awaited answers and seeing some progress. Here's hoping you are all on your way to healthier days!

(P.S. Thanks for reminding us to appreciate the typically mundane act of 'peeing' in our daily lives! )
