need a catchy theme that goes with my name

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I just got a new job as a 3rd grade teacher and was told I need to find a theme that goes with the first letter of my last name...my creative mind has taken a break and I can't seem to come up with anything cute and unique. I need something that starts with a J....
Like ...
Jordan's Jaguars
Jordan's Jumpers (frogs)
Jordan's Jukebox (I am liking this idea...sock hop kind of theme??)

I can't use Jungle or Jitterbugs because they are already taken by other teachers in our hall.

My students will have shirts made the first week of school that they will wear once a week and on field trips....any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

How about Jordan's Jewels? (each one precious and unique) They could look up something about their favorite jewel as well. I don't know what grade you teach, but it could be fun with you wearing a tiara, lots of gaudy rings etc.

Of course if you are a guy I wouldn't go with that. haha

I posted this awhile ago, but here it is again if interested. You can go to this site and type in a name to get a slogan for it. You can push the slogan button over and over again until you find one you like. I did yours but wasn't sure if you are female of male. Give it a try yourself if you like, its kind of fun. I know I didn't come up with any that started with the first letter in your last name though.

Thanks Tounces for the site you listed. I have had so much fun putting in words...like my last name and my first name. I hope "Jordan" comes up with something from here!

Very funny site. Tried my name. Nothing appropriate for a classroom, but got my brain brainstorming again for ideas. Thanks!

You could do a treasure chest/pirate theme with it. I saw the neatest treasure/pirate themed decoratives that our summer school teacher was using today.

I love the "Jordan's Jewels" idea. You could have a board that said,"You're a jewel!" Students could put their name on a cut out jewel as a reward when caught doing something good. You could give them a necklace and let them earn the jewels (beads) to go on it. There are so many ways to use that idea. I think I'll tell my daughter about it!

Wow! I was so excited after coming home from packing up my old room all day and finding so many cool ideas to help me plan for my theme for next year...thank you so much for all the cool ideas...I like the jewels...do you think the boys will think it is too girlish??? If I make it like a treasure chest they may not think it as so...I love the ideas...please keep them coming !

Jordan's Joggers and use tennis shoes around the room or cut outs of shoes! It would be a great way to reinforce exercising!
