So, in my bid to NOT do housework today, I've been watching "The Call" on Netflix (thriller movie). It was filmed/released in 2013-2014. In one scene, you see a gas station sign and the cost is $3.89. Gas didn't get that high in Central Texas until last year. I always knew gas was higher on the coasts than what we pay here, but I had no idea how much. I think we were paying somewhere in the low $2.XX at that point. What do your gas prices look like now, if you don't mind sharing?
Here in SoCal the cheapest regular is at Costco $5.99/gallon. The Mobil station nearest me is $6.89/gallon for regular. I am happy that I have an EV and solar panels. However, the high cost of gas still affects me as everything that needs to be transported has become more expensive.
we were returning to SW MO from my DD's in NW Arkansas. It was $4.97/gal there in AR. We drove an hour north and then an hour or so east into MO, and it was only $4.44/gal here.
I remember gas being $4.12 at some point between 2009 and 2014 because I was living by myself and drove a full-size pickup truck. I couldn’t fill up my tank completely because the pay-at-the-pump option wouldn’t allow more than $75 at a time. I started filling up around a half tank so I didn’t run into that issue.
