The Beauty of Retirement

Clip to ScrapBook #1

It is 9:30 am, and I'm still in my pajamas. I love not having to get ready for school and being able to choose how to spend my time. It is summer, of course, but this relaxed retirement feeling is year round.

I thought about going to the gym in a little while, but I just don't feel like it. I'll hang out at home for a while longer and then will run some errands and go grocery shopping.

Retirement is a wonderful thing.

I am new at this, but was just thinking how I love summer and being able to relax and do as much or as little as I want. I am excited that this will continue beyond summer!

I think the flexibility in daily schedule is the best part. Yes! Each day offers so many options.

Retirement is definitely a wonderful thing. I love your sentiment! There is a calmness I find with not having to always feel forced to be getting ready or planning ahead. Just take the days as they come. Even though a routine can be satisfying too. Whatever works!

I usually start with a to-do list (old habits) but love that I can change my mind and let my day evolve. Today was a beautiful, sunny day, which has been rare around here, so I skipped the plans, went for a long walk and met a friend for coffee.

FREEDOM for me

For me it's the choices I have or get to make. I feel I am looking at a lot of things through a different lens .

I will be returning part time again as a reading teacher in Aug. (but who really knows) I can honestly say however this is the first summer I am TRULY feeling retired. I actually watched a podcast last night on fluency and didn't feel overwhelmed, enjoyed it for what it's worth , and celebrated that I'm not responsible for implementing it. That's I guess the gist of it. Being relieved of the immense responsibility of having to do it all.

Truly liberating!
