My daughter is getting married this summer!!! Things are going well but my daughter and my husband can't seem to come up with a song for their dance.
Any Suggestions?

I'm getting married this summer. At first, I was going to dance with my dad to What a Wonderful World. However, after reading some suggestions on here, we are going to dance to My Girl by the Temptations!!

We had a family wedding this past weekend. This is the song the daddy's and daughters danced to. It was soooooooo amazing! I picked it out for the bride and she LOVE it!

I can't remember the name of the song my dad and I danced to. How bad is that! I wanted to do a waltz because dad and I both knew the steps. I asked the dance instructor (who was choreographing DH and I's first dance) for a few suggestions and picked a song that sounded nice. A few months after the wedding, I discovered What a Wonderful World was a waltz!!!! I wished I had known, I've always loved that song!

My SIL and her dad choose a song from a movie they both really love watching together.

When I was engaged, i wanted to dance to "Isn't She Lovely" by Stevie Wonder. My dad was adamant about us dancing to "Daddy's Girl". I have no idea who sings it, but I know it is really old. My dad isn't firm on many things, but he was for that!! Good luck finding your song.

When I got married, I danced with my dad to "My Girl" (the original version). It was fun and appropriate for us.

If your daughter is particularly close to her dad (my dad and I aren't totally close), a great one is "I Loved Her First". It's the best wedding song for a dad and daughter (esp. if they are very close). It's by Heartland. Google it...it's the BEST lyrics for a wedding dance with dad. There will be tears

It brings tears to my eyes everytime I hear it. It was beautiful to watch all the dads bring the girls up to dance. It was amazing!

I was married in October. My dad was HIGHLY emotional for weeks leading up to it.
I love all the songs everyone suggested, but my dad would have bawled on the dance floor.
We did Through the Years by Kenny Rogers. It was awesome!

I would choose Butterfly Kisses if I were getting married today. we danced to Daddy's Girl but that was 30 years ago

I don't remember what my X danced to with his mom.

We must have a strange family! When our daughter got married her dad insisted on picking out the song for their dance. As they came together to dance Kermit the Frog started singing "The Rainbow Connection." This was her favorite song as a little girl and they sang it together over and over. I still get teary eyed when I remember that dance!

"My Wish" by Rascall Flatts is the song I danced to with my father. I will never forget dancing with my dad on my wedding day.
