One thing I'll be doing is going to the outlet mall just to walk around. I don't like buying clothes without trying them on, so I won't get anything, but it will be fun to get outside, walk, and look.
I'm also getting Noodles and Company for dinner (take out/curbside pickup).
Last night, I was able to go to mass again. They had a lot of safety precautions, and I felt very safe and comfortable. It was great to be back.
My dad and I play cribbage every night, so that will be fun, but of course we do that every night!
I also watch a few episodes of Shameless each night, so that will be fun, too!
Finishing reading The Giver of Stars ( just also finished reading the book woman of troublesome Creek). One or both might have been recommendations from you Amiga :-)
Was going to go on my usual morning walk with a friend but it was 38 degrees this morning. We will go at 1 when it should be 60. Still about 15 degrees below normal.
Today my three year old granddaughter will come for a sleepover! She hasn’t done this in five or more months! My heart is so happy! I can’t wait! Tomorrow I’ll watch her baby sister, 8 months, while big sister goes to her swim lesson. Two days in a row of time with granddaughters! Nothing can be better than this!
We are taking a good long walk. Tonight at 6 we will have dinner, via FaceTime, with my sister in law in Florida and her wife. We try and have our virtual dinners a few times per month!
with some chores, such as CLEANING MY GARAGE! Yes, that will be fun for me. I hate driving into the garage and seeing a disorganized pile of boxes and containers and just stuff at the end of it. Plus the floor needs to be swept and hosed, etc. Trust me, I will be gleeful when this is done.
I'm still house breaking Daisy, so not much on tap. Maybe read my Kindle outside later today. It's a good day because it's cool this morning so I got to browse on my computer while drinking coffee outside.
Today is the retirement parade for one of my oldest friends! She is math dept head for a local high school. I’m excited to be seeing all of her kids (like nieces & nephews to me), grandkids, her MIL (love her!) and some of her oldest town friends whom I’ve known for ages. I just finished packing up all the things I have to decorate the car and made the big poster for the back of the car. I bought a cupcake shaped piñata for the front of the car. My sister and her dog will join me for the parade. Happy retirement, Sue!
Driving 40 miles to take my DS some homemade spaghetti and apple pie. Looking forward to a fun visit with his intellectually logical mind. And a hug! This mama misses him.
DH and I haven't been out for a sit down meal since March 8. Our favorite Mexican place is now open at 50% plus patio, so it's time! We're going at 3 when it's likely to not be crowded. I see guac and a margarita in my future!
get caught up on all the schoolwork (taking a class on online teaching--ha! a bit too late?) before everything is due TOMORROW! (i have been slacking!) it's not really fun, but will be good to take it off my list and stop worrying about it.
i will probably reward myself every so often by starting a new book.
Well I pretty much threw up at the end of my run today so that wasn’t fun . I did stop by my church to pick up soup, a bun, a pop, and three homemade cookies!
I have a bad attitude today. Nothing today seems like fun. I am planning a comfort food dinner, though. And my mom dropped off a fresh strawberry pie. I will consider it "fun" to eat an extra large slice of pie!
My fun day started with tea and fruit in bed. DH likes to spoil me.
After getting some necessary gardening out of the way this morning and getting a great workout cutting and hauling eucalyptus branches and other greens to the curb for tomorrow's pickup, my fun for the day will be a long hike (8-10 mile?) through a nearby canyon. I'm staying away from the beach because it is packed.
I worked on embellishing a small journal with some metal charms and ribbon trim. Then I moved upstairs to help dh install a new light fixture in a bathroom. Now I am going to look for some new mirrors for that bathroom. Generally speaking it is a relaxing day
Just got back from Bar Harbor. It's nice to be able to go to such a touristy place and not deal with the crowds. We bought candy from a store that makes it right there in their business. Yum, love me some chocolate coconut patties! I got five pieces. Let's see how long they last.
We took our dog to a section on our beach where dogs are allowed and enjoyed about an hour there with her! She loved it and pretty much napped the rest of the afternoon! Not what I would call fun, but swam laps for about 30 minutes and did my strength training at the gym. We had carryout for dinner and ate while listening to our church service.
OK, you challenged me to stop being such a grump today and find some fun (besides yummy calories). I decided to watch Knives Out and fun is the exact word to describe it.
Spent the entire afternoon fishing (sort of) with DS and DH. Fish weren’t biting much, so DS chauffeured me around in the UTV. He and I both have a short attention span when we aren’t catching any consistently. DH wasn’t giving up and finally caught a tiny bass, lol.
Came home and cooked pork loin in my air fryer, biscuits, and scalloped potatoes. It was a good day.
