I love to read but I am a very picky reader. I like mystery books but not murder mysteries more like kidnapping mysteries so that there is more of a happy ending instead of just finding the killer. Some books I've liked in the past are "Still Missing" by Chevy Stevens, "Say You're Sorry by Michael Robotham, and "The Good Girl" by Mary Kubica. Each story has also been told by different character's point of view but that's not necessarily a requirement. I've looked at other books those authors have written but none of them peak my interest. Any recommendations?

Have you ever heard of Once upon a Book Club??

It’s a subscription, but you can buy just one and try it out. I can’t wait for mine to arrive next week!!!! The book has post-it notes in some pages. When you get to the post-it, you open a “surprise” that goes along with the book. It’s definitely more expensive than just buying a book or checking one out of the library, but it sounded like fun.

Anyway, just thought I’d mention the subscription here in case you were inclined to check it out.

Karen Slaughter writes good mystery novels, but I think most of them are finding the killer type novels. Pretty Girls is my favorite so far.

Another author you might like is Lisa Jewell. One I especially liked was Then She Was Gone, but I’ve read a few others of hers that were good as well.

I was also going to recommend Lisa Jewell - I love her books. I have also read a couple by Riley Sager that I enjoyed.
