Well guys, I got Covid. It's my fault. My niece got a new puppy and I went to visit it. She found out a day later that she had Covid and now I have it. I feel sick, but kind of like I have bronchitis. Hopefully this is as sick as I get.
Just wanted to tell you all. Even seeing one person isn't safe.
I am hoping that you have a mild case...my hubby and I had it and ours was mild except for a high fever for me for 3 days (104+.) But the rest of the time it was like a bad cold - we were tired, had a cough, I lost (and later got back) my sense of smell (so weird!) and we were a bit achy, along with other "normal" cold symptoms. We slept a lot. It lasted about two weeks (for most of the symptoms.)
We ordered an oximeter right away (around $20 on Amazon) and a non-touch thermometer (never even had a thermometer before!), and those two helped us a lot. Knowing our oxygen level was especially reassuring. If that starts to go down, it's important - tell your doctor right away.
My niece is an ER doctor on the front lines. She recommends that anyone with a positive diagnosis start taking Zicam and vitamin D3 right away. She also recommends these breathing exercises
Purchase an oximeter from your local pharmacy or Amazon to monitor your O2.
I wish you the very best!
Hope you and your niece are feeling well soon. Here are some special anti-covid virus thingys that attack the real covid and also the manager who is suited up in order to give them to you.
