I spent the evening in the ER.

DH was home this afternoon to take care of DD, so I went for a swim. It was wonderful! The water was perfect. When I went to climb out of the pool, the ladder tipped over with me on the top on the outside. I fell on the ground, on my left leg and butt. DH took me to the ER and left me there. The x-rays showed no broken bones. The ER dr said a deep muscle contusion. I canít put any weight on it at all. Staff from DDís home came and got her a couple of days early. I said goodbye at the ER. I wonít get to see her for two weeks. Not the way I wanted to end her stay with us.

Oh, Linda. What a terrible ending of a lovely afternoon. But thank goodness this happened at a time when your daughter was able to return to her home, rather than in the midst of the pandemic.

Take care of yourself--I hope the healing goes quickly and smoothly.

Please be careful!!!. When I broke my leg up close to the hop joint they said it wasn't broken. Luckily I disagreed. After reading x-ray the found the brake. He was shocked because examination showed nothing. At the same time I had my wrist x-rayed and I was told no break. 4 weeks later it was done again and they found the break in a hard to see spot.

If you ate no better in a couple days go back!!!!

What a rotten day! I'm so sorry. I'm glad you didn't break anything, but ouch! That sounds really painful. I hope your DD has a good transition back and she is happy to be back "home." It's probably a good thing you have some time to recuperate. Feel better!!

I can’t put any weight on it at all. It just gives way. My twin sis is coming tomorrow to keep me company while DH is at work, but Friday and Saturday, I may be on my own. I hope I at least get where I can use crutches.

for your accident. Ouch! You are going to be really sore tomorrow and I am sorry for your pain. That is too bad that you did not get to say goodbye to your daughter the way you wanted to. I hope the next two weeks pass quickly while you are healing.

So sorry you had this accident after such a nice start to your afternoon! Glad to know you haven't broken any bones, but be sure to follow doctors orders to recuperate.

I am disappointed for you that you weren't able to say good-bye to your daughter in the way you might have imagined. Hopefully you'll be able to move around much easier by the time you get to see her again! In the meantime, take good care of yourself!

On a more positive note you will be forced to take a much needed rest.

Try to make yourself comfortable and allow others to take care of you for a change.

So sorry to hear about this. The PP had good ideas - take care and rest and listen to your body. If it doesn't feel better soon, maybe check back with the medical team. Hope you feel better very soon. Enjoy visiting with your sister.

I called DD as soon as I got home last night.
Old 06-17-2020, 07:14 AM

She was telling everyone that mamma was hurt, mamma fall, boing, boing, mamma doctor. I'm sure that went on late into the night until she tired out. I tried to let her know that I'm okay. She really worries about people who are hurting. I'm glad they came to get her. I know there is no way I could have her here now because even when DH is here, she wants me to help her with everything.

Oh no Linda! Not the way you wanted to end a nice swim. I'm glad you'll have some help for a few days. I'd go back if you still can't put weight on it in a few days.

Please rest and try to relax (easier said than done).

Contusions can be very painful. I hope you feel better soon. I hate that your daughter is worried about you. Are you able to do a phone call or even a video call so that you can reassure her that you are ok?
