You need gifts for a baby shower? Money for a nice dinner? Gifts for a birthday? A gift for yourself?

Why not just give during this time?

I’ll start. PM me your address. I’ll send you something. It might be small since finances are tight but I don’t care. Diapers, wine, board games, a dinner, a puzzle, a candle, moisturizer...

Life is short. We all deserve to feel deserving.

I donít need anything, but I love your spirit.

I agree with you (even though I was on the 110 guests feels a little gift grabby side of the question in a previous post ).

Generosity will never not be appropriate. And this is a good reminder.

I agree, great reminder to think of others. Best way to lift your spirits is by pulling someone else up.

Happy New Year!

We are having our first, and possibly, only child in April. My friend and mother were insistent on throwing me a shower but we cannot do it in person or a drive by. I will later do a sip and see and provide refreshments and games but it just canít happen now. I was upset for days thinking others would see the invite as a ďmoney grabĒ and then I saw that post and the emotions flooded back. Thankfully Iíve had friends ask me about a shower so I know not all think this way. Itís hard for everyone and adding milestones adds a little extra layer.

Thank you for your post. Itís what I needed to read this morning.

So many people are missing out on the actual milestone parties right now, that I donít even mind blatant gift grabs. These once in a life time things, like a shower of a rainbow baby, graduations, or a wedding or even a sixth birthday- they are all being missed forever . I do feel obligated to make it up with what I can for all those people. I sent bits of money and gifts to people too distantly related for me to have done so usually, but pandemic time is different. I want to change unlucky timing into lucky timing for these kids.

I sent a baby shower gift to my friendís daughter through Amazon. I did not feel like it was a gift grab and I did not attend the zoom shower because I didnít want to do so.

I havenít got my Christmas gift from my dh yet. But I am good.

Love your post! I'll add myself to the list of someone who can help another PTer out. If you are feeling down/struggling as of late, as I have been the past 3 days, PM me. I'll send you a little pick me up! I know how it feels to feel down and out, but then receive a little something that helped me feel better, if only for that moment!

Thank you, LoveMyNature! I hope you don't mine me following in your footsteps!

Lovenature and Eliza

Anyone need a lift? Anyone need a positive mantra to hang on your wall? A fresh herb wall decoration/ cooks aide, anyone depressed and chocolate would help?

You don't need to have had a baby, graduation, recent accomplishment, wedding, loss of loved one, ...

It would be great fun and an honor to help another PT member.

Struggling teachers need tlc all year! Non struggling teachers need tlc all year!

People need tlc all year.

PM me your name and address, i am also looking for pen pals

What a caring gesture! Thank you for your generosity and kindness!

I would be happy to be part of the group who is willing to send a spirit lifter to a PT family member who needs anything or who just needs a little sunshine added to their day!
