Somewhere in between. Less adventurous with physical things the older I get. I went bungee jumping when I was younger, I do not think I would today. I no longer like jerky roller coasters.

Outdoor lights will stay up until spring. The wreath on the door and the outdoor "tree" on my porch will stay up till the end of January, and then yield to Valentine's day decorations.

For instance, some people think it's adventurous that I like to solo hike and camp but I'd darn well better be practical in my preparation in order to survive such adventures.

2. Describe 2021 so far in one word. So far, not much different than 2020. I'm feeling more anxious and apprehensive about our future in light of what happened this week. It's a lot to process in addition to all the Covid adjustments we are living and dealing with every day. Sorry - I used more than one word.
3. What is your favorite thing about the winter season? Winter is quiet and peaceful in my opinion. Nature is resting, it is beautifully cold, clean white, and icy. This winter has been beautiful, but not peaceful.
4. Is your neighborhood quiet or noisy? My closest neighbors are miles away. The only noises we have is the wind blowing through the trees, the birds and squirrels in the trees, and the deer and fox in the fields.

Snow! (But we haven’t gotten any yet :-( I also like bundling up and hiking, hot chocolate and a good book, my fireplace (wood burning) and skiing/snowboarding.
This sums up my favorite things about winter...

5. I was going to say I’m only practical, but maybe moving (all by myself) to someplace new and 500 miles away might be a little adventurous. And I continue the adventure by making new friends and learning about new places.

1. Yes. I decorated with some black and white buffalo plaid this year so felt it was not too "Christmasy" to keep up for a while longer. I have a pillow that says "HO HO HO" still out and DH told me to just flip it so it says "OH OH OH" and then it is not a holiday pillow!

My neighborhood is super quiet now that drug neighbor has moved on. When I moved back in with Mom in August, I was surprised at all the traffic noise. I grew up here, and I didn’t pay any attention to it when I was used to it.

I can be both. I like a good adventure, but I have to plan it. I’m not one for spontaneous adventure.
1. Almost everything is still up. I'm usually someone who wants it all gone by new years, but I felt differently this year. I like looking at my decorations and it's not like I'm having anyone over, so who is to stop me from keeping them up as long as I like? I'll put them away when I get tired of them.

3. Well, normally I'd say the holidays, but they weren't much fun this year. Not a big fan of winter otherwise and I usually have trouble with it being "just winter" after the holidays are over.
4. The neighborhood is very quiet. I do have newish neighbors that are often out on their porch making noise late at night . It's not huge parties or anything, but they seem to be having people over quite a bit. In fact, it's 2 AM and they're out there now.
5. Very practical. I struggled to adjust when I moved to my current state (especially the part of the state I first lived in, it's not as bad where I am now) because I so missed Midwestern practicality.
