What are you looking forward to and not looking forward to this week?

-Dress down day on Friday

Not Looking Forward to
-Getting caught up with grading
-Being tired
-Dealing with a disagreement I'm having with someone
-Cleaning my apartment
-Snow coming, but probably not enough for a snow day.

Looking Forward To:

-Seeing my students/coworkers in person
-Getting out of the house/having somewhere to go every day
-No more dealing with zoom tech issues and work arounds

Not Looking Forward To:

-Having to get up 2.5 hours earlier than I did for remote teaching, as well as stay at school later
-Having to pick out/wear a real outfit every day
-Having to pack a lunch, water, coffee, and tote all of my stuff back and forth every day
-Checking my email 23040923 every night to make sure I'm not quarantined/none of my students are quarantined. Making a new schedule every time someone is quarantined
-Wearing my mask all day and policing student mask wearing
-Going back to a fairly ineffective teaching/grouping schedule due to cohorts (I can only pull from one gen ed class at a time, so I have like 2 year gaps in my intervention groups)
-Spending so much instructional time on "safety theater"

Looking forward to:
- Online Book Club on Friday. I finished the book but I didn't enjoy it much. I reckon there will be a lively discussion.
- Art Club with my BFF on Monday. We talk on the phone and look at art on the computer every week. We've both commented to each other that it's often the highlight of the week.
- 3 online yoga classes, maybe more.
- working on junk journals--it's always good to have a creative outlet.

Not looking forward to:
- cleaning the house. I never look forward to cleaning the house and this week, I must dust. I've been putting it off for far too long which, I know, I know, makes it much worse but it's dusting, my least favourite of all the household chores.
- decluttering my office and the Family Room

@amiga13, which book is your book club discussing? We're doing Olive Again by Elizabeth Strout. From the email responses to the zoom invitation, it looks like there will be a split of liking and disliking this book.
