I teach first grade and am looking to expand my Hanukkah book collection. If you have a favorite Hanukkah book, I 'd love to hear about it. Thanks!

Hanukkah Hop

I just read the book Hanukkah Hop to my first graders. We had talked a bit about Hanukkah before hand and knew some of the traditions, but this book was great at being fun and engaging, but still managing to include information that we were able to pull out and add to our facts chart. I'm not sure of the author but got it at the scholastic book fair

Latkes and Applesauce

Clip to ScrapBook #4

My son has a book called Latkes and Applesauce. It is about a family trying to celebrate the holiday while a storm rages. Their food supply gets lower and lower, but they still manage to have holiday spirit. At the end they experience their own miracle.
