C1 EA Math

For my EA Math certs... Did the C1 have a lot of trigonometry and calculus on it? I don't recall ever having to do this on my Praxis and it is supposed to be grades 6-9 for EA Math I thought. 6-9 doesn't touch calculus or trigonometry to my knowledge.

NBCT says approximately 40% of EA Math C1 is related to the following skills:

Modeling and Analysis
 Trigonometry
 Discrete Mathematics
 Data Analysis and Statistics
 Calculus

EA Math covers so many concepts and I found it challenging to adequately cover all of the skills. I thought KA helped w/refreshing trig and calc before the test.

I am going to hit Khan Academy for it all but will be hitting Calculus and Trig more on there since I don't teach any of that.

Chapstickmc I was wondering did you use the study guide for the Middle School Math Praxis? I have that book and used it for my state testing and was wondering it is really does help a lot. I have heard others say they have used their Praxis study guides from other cert areas and a lot of the material from the study guide was on the C1 selected response.

I didn't use the praxis to study, but have heard that it was helpful for some taking C1. If I could go back and study more it'd be with concepts related to algebra I, II and ratios/proportions. I'm not as familiar with the praxis seeing that it wasn't used to certify in my state.

Thank you! I will use Khan Academy, the Mometrix Study Guide, and the Praxis for Middle School Math and study every day until the 11th of June. Then I will be assured that I have done all I can do.

Thanks to everyone that has helped me on this journey!!!
