Clip to ScrapBook #1

My first pension check came last week - nice to “get paid” in the summer. I picked up my four prescriptions today and paid about $8. Paid same $15 copay at MD (wondered if that would go up). Physical therapy 3x a week is covered. So far Medicare is ok.

Spent 1.5 hours in library, walked in the mall at 8am because it rained, and plan to stay up really late tonight!!!

to see how your sleep pattern goes in retirement.

I used to know that I was fine on 6 hours sleep a night. When the alarm clock was retired along with me I discovered I need 8 to 9. I'm pretty sure it isn't age related although younger folks can maybe fake alertness better. It is that I really was sleep deprived for years.

Retirement comes with all sorts of perks--like sleeping really late.

Sounds like you are doing well financially. There's real savings in not supporting a classroom, not dressing professionally, not paying dues, not commuting, etc.

Enjoy your new normal.

You're correct about sleep deprivation, Broomrider! I'm catching up on the 20+ years sleep I missed when I was working!
