Clip to ScrapBook #1

Today was back to school for our community. The art studio I frequent had all projects 30% off today. I have been going to this studio for three years since I retired and have never seen this big a discount. I spent two and a half hours creating an abstract fused glass design. Had so much fun! I hope this becomes a tradition at the studio.

Anyone else enjoying a back to school event as a retired teacher?

All the discounts I have seen are for working teachers. You need proof of being a working teacher to take advantage of them. This year, I think Chicos clothing store are offering a 10% additional discount for teachers. They definitely never did that when I was working. Not sure if they give you that on top of other discounts, but it is nice to see. Christmas Tree Shops and Ocean State Job Lot also had teacher discounts, but once again, you needed to show proof. Your project sounds beautiful.
