Has anyone used the TRAILS assessment from Kent State University for C4 in Library Media?

I can't speak to that assessment, but be aware you would have to describe it and not submit it for C4.

Actually, I have a question about that. As of right now, I think I would need to describe it. But the note on the website says:

Quote:
We plan to make TRAILS assessment items available to K-12 librarians and teachers as an open resource to use after our interactive site closes. Later this school year, we will share our plans.
So, I would think that once it becomes open source, I will be able to submit a sample.

Actually, no. NBs CLEARLY states no copyrighted materials. It doesn't say "unless University of Chicago/Houghton Mifflin/TpT seller says you can." Just no. NBs doesn't care if you have permission from the copyright holder. ESPECIALLY for assessments in C4.

Sorry.

You are very wise to start working on C4 now. Start nailing down the SN/PLN particularly. Those involve colleagues, PD, etc., all things you need to plan in advance.

Ah, thank you! I will describe it if I end up using it.

I keep telling my co-workers that for C4, you need to know how you are going to show evidence of the impact of your actions on student learning BEFORE you start executing those actions for the PLN.

Backward planning is the best way I know to figure out C4 and not get stuck at the end trying to devise evidence. Best luck! C4 was my fave...actually C1 was.
