I am mourning the summer now

Last Friday of summer here. I'm so sad to see it end. I'm so thankful to be working with such amazing women this year. Bubye sleeping late, leisurely lunches, lazy walks around the neighborhood, and spontaneous trips out of town. Hello early mornings, lunch boxes, a quick walk during planning period, and paperwork.

See you again after Memorial Day, summer break.

Me too! I've spent this week going into my room, school shopping for my kids, grocery shopping, and prepping 15 meals for the freezer! Adios summer

We just finished day 13 of the new school year. I'm already exhausted and frazzled. I miss summer already.

Me too, I went into my class today and reality hit me. It was a great summer and I am feeling recharged and ready- that won't last long!

I'm mourning it also! It hit me last week hard. This was our first week back with flex days to work in our rooms. It's been insane.

Ugh....I am not far behind you. I have yet to set foot in my classroom (guess I will go on Monday and bring DS to do some heavy lifting for me). I also have to finish shopping with for college for my DS and bring him to school on Thursday. (Long day, but I can do it there and back in one day)

I had the awfullest time getting up this morning - I could barely pry my eyes open at 8 AM (I had an appt.) This is due to my very late nights. Once school starts, I am up at 5 AM!

I feel badly - but I have never been this unenthusiastic for school to start. I feel very disconnected.

It's hot in our building (no air) and by the afternoon I want to do is sleep. Next week the forecast says 90's . A few weeks ago I couldn't wait to go back but now I wonder what was I thinking (for a number of reasons).

Ugh. I'm right there with you! We go back next week -- teacher work week, and I've been in a few times over the last couple of weeks getting a jump on things. It's been so rainy this summer I feel like my tan is already faded and summer is going to be a distant memory before I can turn around!
