Hi,
We got rid of our social studies book and now have a magazine. They are from houghton mifflin harcourt . It is Kids Discover magazine. We don't have access to kids Discover magazine web site. We have access to ed connect it has nothing on it except the magazine and assessment, and vocabulary. They have a vocabulary worksheet that could be a test but they give it to the student. This is not what we wanted or thought we were getting. They said there was more on line and there is not.
It is consumable so next year we can change it. I teach 4th and 5th grade social studies and we are departmentalizes. I want something with resources and that that I can have for a 45 to 50 minute lesson without having to spend nights and weekend on the internet looking almost all my lesson. I have some extras to add.
In fifth grade we study geography, native american, explorer, colonial America, Canada and Mexico( I have enough on them)
Any suggestions appreciates. It is very frustrating.
