I've helped interview a lot of teachers over the past few years---here are some questions that we use!

Be honest, smile a lot, dress professionally, and if you aren't sure about an answer or topic--just say that!! It's okay to say "Give me a moment to think"... Don't rush and be personable. If you have a portfolio, lesson plans/ pics of your previous experience--bring that along so you can share.
Questions:
What will I see when I walk in your classroom?
What strategies will you use with a struggling reader?
How will you ensure that all students are reaching their greatest potential?
If we don't hire you, what would our school be missing out on?
How will you prepare our third graders for the state test?
What qualities do you have that will make you a great 3rd grade teacher?
What are your strengths? Weaknesses?
