I went to a class a few days ago and really liked it. I'm getting sick of my gym and may try a month long Pure Barre membership. It is expensive but is a great workout and may be worth the money.

Does anyone do it?

I donít go to a Pure Barre studio, but my gym offers a barre-type class. It really is a good workout because it gives me strength, balance and core exercises. I would go for it if I were you. Spending money on your health is always worth it.

I do The Bar Method. I started at Pure Barre but switched over because I had friends there. I LOVE it. I attend class 6-7 days per week (most people go 3-4 times). It is hard but I love how strong I have gotten. My flexibility has increased dramatically. I highly recommend it. Oh... and they offer a teacher discount!

I LOVED doing the barre classes. I say that in past tense because the studio that we had locally closed about three years ago. It was called Cardiobarre. I loved it because I felt like I was burning a ton of calories and it was low/zero impact. I do remember that it was a little pricey, however. I'd probably have stuck with the classes instead of joining the gym if I'd had that option.

I had a similar experience. A friend basically dragged me to my first class then I really liked it. I ended up joining and now I work there. I love it. Itís a different kind of workout and the only one Iíve ever been able to stick with!!!

Pure Barre Update

This morning I went to my first Pure Barre class here after attending one in Florida last week with my cousin. It was challenging, but I loved it and purchased a membership.

Their retail offerings are nice. I got three pairs of barre socks and a cute workout bag. The instructor and people in class were friendly and helpful.

I'm going to give up my gym membership. I have been getting increasingly irritated with many of the members and like how warm and welcoming Pure Barre is.
