I just found out I'm pregnant with my second child. I'm only six weeks along so it's early, but I feel pretty good. Last time I was already nauseous by this point. Some smells like coffee make me a little gaggy and I know I could be hit with morning sickness tomorrow, but, for the most part, nothing. Did any of you find that you were queasy during your first pregnancy, but the second one was much less? I'm a bit worried that something is wrong, but maybe it's just that each pregnancy is different.
I was way more nauseated with my second, and it lasted until 12 weeks. I chalked it up (afterwards) to having a boy and a girl. I was more sick with my daughter
I was nauseous with both, but definitely worse with the second one. I always heard that a girl will make you more nauseous. That was not the case for me. First one was a girl and second one was a boy. I agree that each pregnancy is just different.
I really don't remember being sick for my second pregnancy even though I'm pretty sure I had the same amount of nausea for both. I wasn't working outside the home for that one so maybe it just wasn't as big of a problem. (and I was lucky that my nausea was not too terrible.)
Congratulations on your pregnancy! Glad you are feeling good. I suffered from morning sickness, and afternoon sickness, and even middle of the night sickness with my second pregnancy through the entire second trimester. I think it started the day I conceived. I actually lost weight for a long time and ended up getting IV fluids a couple times. Morning sickness symptoms lasted a couple weeks with my first pregnancy and I had no problems at all with my third. They were all very, very different in so many ways. I have 3 boys so I can't blame how my body reacted to pregnancy on the babies gender. I hope you continue to feel good throughout the entire pregnancy.
Congratulations on your happy news! I was was sick multiple times a day with my DD, first pregnancy, and lost weight for the first three months. With my DS I was not sick at all.
Thank you all for your stories! Logically, I know that every pregnancy is different and to not expect it to the be exactly the same. Let's hope the all-day sickness I had last time was a 1st pregnancy thing!
I was the sickest with my first pregnancy, thankfully. Hopefully you'll get just a little sick (enough to feel ok about this ) but be able to enjoy life a little more during this second pregnancy!
Each pregnancy is so different. With number 1 I was slightly queasy with different smells. With #2 I was vomiting every time I smelled or ate something.
Out of three pregnancies- none of them were alike. Just like the kids that resulted from those pregnancies. They look like siblings, but everything else about them is different.
