What do you keep your papers in for the week?

I have one of those M-F carts but it's literally on it's last leg. It has leaned to the side since I bought it over ten years. ago. I'm ready for something different to keep my copies in for the week.

What do you use?

I have a hanging file folder box (plastic, with a lid) that I keep on the counter. They go on sale around tax time at Staples and Office Max. They're nice because you can stack and store them!

I also have hanging files, but in an open "milk crate" from one of the office supply stores. In fact, I have M-F x3 and one file for each subject, so if I run something a couple of weeks ahead, I just stick it in the appropriate day or subject (to be filed in a day later). It's big, but it doesn't bother me because it sits on top of the bookshelf behind my work area. I LOVE organizing this way.

I like the milk crate idea. I'm going to try that this year. If I put things too far from me, it becomes "out of sight, out of mind!" I think a milk crate at my feet under the table would work for me. I like having a clean desktop. (Not that that ever happens!)

use foil trays (for cooking). I have one for each subject and then I keep them on the top of my cubbies. I only make copies a couple of weeks in advance, if that.

I use 2 3-drawer 12x12 inch organizers stacked on top of each other. I can use one for each day of the week and the bottom drawer I use for any extras or even next week's papers. It works for me.

I bought the cart below a few years ago on sale. I LOVE it because I can store 2 weeks worth of copies at a time, and each drawer holds a lot! I've had it 5 or 6 years now and it's still in perfect condition!

These are less expensive than the bins I got from Lakeshore. (And the Lakeshore bins lock together.)

I heard bins like this can sometimes be found in the dollar section at Target.
I use them as subject bins, instead of daily bins. That way, I don't have to physically move stuff if we don't get to 'whatever' on a particular day.

I use the dishpan bins from the dollar store, but use them based on subject.

I guess I am the only teacher who stacks them on the corner of my desk and then rummages through the stack when I need something I copied two weeks prior...I can't be the only one?!?! Come on...let's hear from the other disorganized teachers in the group!

That would be me! I actually do have the Lakeshore organizer that someone mentioned above, but more often than not, I just have stacks all over the place that I have to rummage through.

Dish Drying Rack

Clip to ScrapBook #12

I use a dish drying rack that I purchased at Walmart. Then I bought really cute and decorative file folders, labeled them Mon-Fri. and also have some labeled by subject. I then have it on the corner of my desk. I then keep markers in the silverware part. It looks so cute and very inexpensive.

Genius! I love the dish drying rack! I always struggle with not having enough space in a regular file holder, and I have too many containers to hold my pens and pencil. I wasn't going to buy anything for my classroom this summer, but this I have to have! Thanks for sharing.

I love the dish rack as an organizer. I think it would be perfect for my AM folders. PTers, you are all so creative!
