Hi,
How many of you gift a small gift to your child's new teacher on the first day? Just thought it would be a nice way to start the year off on a good note.

Quite frankly the first day is such chaos, I would wait til the end of the week. I have gotten cute gifts on day one and can't remember who gave them to me.

A boquet of flowers always works for me.

I used to do a small tube of lotion and a cute emery board and write something like "Hope you have a smooth year."

Anytime I get a present I love it! I do think the end of first week would be a good time.

thanks everyone! I will send it at the end of the first week. So far, I picked up an apple scented Bath & Body Works hand soap and lotion.

You could simply make a card or buy one and maybe put a gift card to starbucks in it.

I have never given my kids' teachers a gift on the first day, unless you count what I buy off their wish list. I have received some really cute gifts though. I just don't feel like buying yet another gift when I already buy for Christmas and the end of the year, as well as donating for the class bday gift and if there's any baby showers, etc. Money's too tight for this teacher at back to school time.
