I understand that schools work with outside support services such as county and private agencies, non-profit organizations, etc. But I don't understand much more. Can anyone please answere these questions?

How does the school collaborate with these organizations to provide appropriate student services?

About how many different organizations do they collaborate with?

What different student services do you offer?

Who does the collaberation?

Does the school or parent decide what organizations help their child?

I would appreciate any other understand you might give me as well.

Basically, Public Schools provide their own services if the student "qualifies", for example, speech, Occupational therapy, Resource, or physical therapy. If the student happens to go to a private school and lives in that public school district, they "may qualify" to come to the local public school for services during the school day (often very difficult to arrange, but possible). There are other possible services such as Mental health that may come into play. The school psychologist does most of the coordinating. Does that make sense?
