Handwriting Help for Older Students

Does anyone know of a good method, lesson, etc for helping older kids (12/13 years old) with handwriting? (Not cursive). I have a student who came to me and really wants help. We let her use an alphasmart, but that doesn't address the problem exactly....

Thanks!

Walmart sells this notebook paper that has light squares across each line. The child writes one letter in each square and can skip a square to go to the next word. You might want to check that out in order to help with neater handwriting.

I've started using the Handwriting Without Tears Program and really like it. I use three different levels and can't really teach a full lesson for each, but it is user-friendly. Search--Handwriting Without Tears, and check out their site. There's also some freebies. Good Luck!!
