I need help with some I.E.P. goals. I have a few students who have goals for following directions...specifically 6 step directions. Does anyone have any ideas? I already have brushing teeth, washing hands, and sharpening a pencil. Thanks!

What areas are they deficit? That should drive your goals.

What age are you talking about here? What deficits? I can't imagine following a six-step direction in the classroom. Heck, I don't think I could follow a six-step direction.

I was thinking the same thing about following a 6 step direction. Do they need picture prompts to help follow a routine? If so, if you have Boardmaker, you can make a task analysis with the steps. You could also make a copy and cut them out. Then the students would have to put them in the right order.
Good luck!
