At my school we are just getting started using the Units of Study and I plan to start next year. However, I have been looking through the books but a little confused, however your lessons make sense to me. Would you be willing to email me any/all/whatever you will give me of your plans?!?! I have been searching forever for lesson plans that go with the 3-5 Units of Study for Writing. Is there any way I can get a copy of what you and your school have done? It's very overwhelming for many of our teachers.

Hello- I saw your post about Reading Lessons. I would absolutely love to receive what ever you have. We are implementing the Calkins Reading Units of Study somehow next year, but not receiving her Units of Study Books!! Go figure.
WOW, Can I join your fan club and ask for your writing UofS "outlines" as well? That is just such tremendous work! I'm excited to using UoS, but not so excited about the tons of reading that has to be done for each lesson...

In my school Grades 3-5 has adopted Heinemann's Common Core reading and writing curriculum which is based on Calkin's Units of Study. We have not, however, been given the Units of Study for either reading or writing. Any lessons you have for either the reading or writing will be most helpful.

I have Lucy Calkins' based Writing Units of Study for Grades 3-5, not specifically for Grade 4. They have probably been superseded now as they go back a few years. I am attaching one unit so you can let me know if they are of any use and you would like the other units .
I DID SEE SOME AMAZING , CURRENT, AND VERY DETAILED WRITING UNITS WITH LESSON PLANS FOR GRADE 4 AT THE LINK BELOW. THERE ARE 3 UNITS COMPLETED SO FAR, MORE TO COME IN AUGUST 2016.
