Some people are so selfish. The comments about teachers are uplifting.

Parents in our school district are reporting that their absent children have "an eye appointment" or some other innocuous excuse, when they actually have Covid symptoms. They don't want to subject their precious children to the invasive nasal swab.

One of my little boys returned to school after two days out, and said, "I WAS SICK!" with a big smile on his face. Then he continued, "My mom told you that I had trouble sleeping, but I was SICK! I don't wanna get a Covid test." 4 years old.

Itís happening across the country. People from the school where my sister teaches are calling it the mom code. The agree not to report fevers or get kids tested.

My sister heard two kids in the hall talking. One told the other she shouldnít go to the school nurse for a cold because she might get sent home.

My sister has been on the verge of a nervous breakdown because of it.

Itís horrifying to think that they are willing to risk the lives of people in their community.

I am not at all surprised but I'm so disappointed. This attitude has been around for a while and it's (I think) a big part of the reason COVID is still going so strong

The Snapchat also says, "unless you are high risk there is no reason to report it, nothing bad will happen to you just please think about the athletes."
How selfish and ignorant! Think about the athletes - their sport season is more important than anyone's life!

Wrong on so many levels!

I am sure the parents are trying to avoid having to quarantine from work for two weeks, or keep the kids home that long, so they hide it!
