*Iím grateful for American government, but I am extremely frustrated that the Federal and State governments can cancel the tenant eviction moratorium, yet Iím hogtied because the County and City governments are keeping it in place.

*Just once Iíd like to hear my new friend say, ďOh, I didnít know that.Ē

*I found out that a local theater is doing Sister Act. DD is going to audition. I really really hope she gets the part of Sister Mary Robert. She'd be great and it would make her so happy.
*Our beginning of the year state testing was a flipping mess. The way it was organize made no sense, last minute changes not communicated and made no sense, and teachers got shafted. It made me so frustrated.

I just realized I haven't been sick - not even a sniffle or cough or anything -since a while before my mom found out she had cancer in Aug of 2019. She passed away in March of 2020 and my siblings and I were all very happy that none of us were sick at all during the entire time she was sick. I whisper this bc everyone knows that as soon as you say this aloud, you get sick.

-isms exist...racism, sexism, ageism, singlism, etc. Just because some people don’t experience those things themselves doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

I've misplaced my purpose for living and lack the energy to look for it.

I am on the struggle bus right now.... work, my personal kids, love life, family drama.... and all I want to do is cry. I can't cry because my anti anxiety meds won't let me!

Spent the morning cleaning out my desk/secretary in the living room. A mouse had gotten in there and chewed up my papers and old scrapbook! What a mess!I thought Iwas a fair housekeeper! Been in this house thirty years and first time I've seen this. No more keeping every card and letter. And giving sons their schoolwork from 25 years ago!

Whispering because I can't tell anyone what a mess it was!

Having a hard time with a friendship right now. I've always been able to agree to disagree on politics/religious beliefs. But those differences may impact my job this week and it is really bothering me.

Looking forward to a class starting tonight. I'm finally signed up for the weaving class offered through my local district's adult ed. The introvert in me is also really nervous about a new situation.

Today was the final physical therapy session for my sciatica. I'm feeling much better and have largely resumed my gym schedule.

I like what I'm doing, I HATE doing it at 6 buildings. It's impossible to do something well when you're only there for one day a week or even half a day. And keeping up with the paperwork for the state and district is a nightmare. And I haven't even started the bi-weekly assessing. The kids see me 4 times a month (assuming no days off) and 2 of those times will be assessments. How effective is that? Really? And my supervisor, who I had a great relationship with, stopped speaking to me since I tried to quit. Oh look, it's the consequences of my choices.

*I'm really tired from returning to teaching full time in this sub position.

*I wish people would stop asking me if I'm staying the whole year. No!

*I really wish the kids would stop asking when is Mr. **** coming back? Probably never! He wasn't a trained teacher and he sucked!!

*I hope the principal realizes I was serious when I said first trimester only.

*I really do love the 6th and 7th graders and the curriculum for them. The eighth grade has some great kids, but some real stinkers, too!

*Did I mention I'm tired???

I'm tired of all of the schedule changes. I'm tired of all of the behaviors. I'm tired of having to talk every single day about things that should be in place right now. I'm tired of not sleeping well. I think I'm just tired.

Dealing with adults on a daily basis is way more frustrating than dealing with kids all day.

Next week is fall break.

I only have 31 more school days until retirement.
