My older ds came home the other day from a girl's volleyball game, all pumped up that they killed the other team. I was kind of teasing him and asked him why he even went and who he was going to watch. His answer - "Mom, I'm a 17 year old guy. They play in booty shorts. Why do you think I go to the games?"

Just wondering if you'd think it was just as funny if it was your daughter playing volleyball, and you heard that a bunch of boys were going to the games just to watch them in their uniforms.

Is it any different than the teenage girls (and adult women) that go to football games to oogle boys/men in football pants? Or baseball pants?

I see what youíre saying but if that is the designated uniform and the women arenít protesting itÖ

Now if the girls donít like the uniform, thatís a whole different kettle of fish. I guess what Iím saying is that I see both sides.

I would.

Thatís the only reason I went to baseball games when I was in high school.

I would. I have a teen dd whose bikini is basically non-existent. I'd love her to be in booty shorts!

Did anyone else watch The Wonder Years last night? Excellent episode. The issues that were discussed are similar to these issues, and I was so impressed by the way the TV parents handled them.
