There are more things I do not like then I do like. It is a lot of house for the money.

It is a lot of house. Either the wine room is seriously under stocked or they are not really drinkers. I know Iíd never put a vase of flowers at the foot of my bed. I would be afraid it would on the floor by morning. I do like the closets though. Itís not the house for me.

It seems more show house than home. Iíd have to do some remodeling, but who could afford that after buying a house with that price tag?

Iíll take the bathrooms/closets and theater room but not a fan of the rest.

On the other hand at least youíre getting a lot of house. Hereís what a million will get you in San FranciscoÖ..

I think this home has potential under all of the gaudy furnishings. The stager missed the mark on this one because it looks old style and prissy which ruins the vibe for me. There is a reason it hasn't sold in this hot market.

re first house in West Des Moines: I do like the upstairs living area. It reminds me of photographs of an old house in England that I saw many years ago. The grand staircase let up to an open sitting area. It was very warm and rich looking, comfortable with old, soft looking furniture. It also had great views over the front lawns and gardens.

But this house is too cold for me. I want rich oriental rugs and soft cushiony chairs and sofas, warm colors or greens, a huge fireplace.

The first house is not to my liking, its too gaudy for me. The second house I can only say, I am glad I don't live in SF. Not only is that a plain home, its small and expensive. The views and pool area are lovely, but I'm afraid of heights so I would be afraid use it.

I could live with the first house but would definitely need to change the decor. Way to elegant and fussy for my taste.

It's amazing how different the housing markets are though.

Amazing how different the market is.

First house 78 days on Zillow

Second house 1 day on Zillow pending offer
