Petty, petty vent

This is so petty and Iíll own it but Iíd like to go just one day without hearing a lean mower, trimmer or other lawn care item going. It seems someone on my street is mowing daily. Seriously? Itís interfering with my tv watching and napping.

I told you, it was petty.

I almost feel the same. I live in an apt complex and I didn't think the lawn care workers moved/trimmed daily, but it seems I hear it on quite a lot of mornings. It gets annoying since they're right outside and downstairs.

I agree! The other day the neighbors lawn care woke my daughter from her nap!

and remember that time last winter when you were snowed in for days without any electricity and you would have loved it if the neighbors were mowing their grass!
Yeah, we spent $$$$ to have our driveway plowed this year. And couldn't drive anywhere because so many trees fell across the roads. Good times!

I am in my vacay home. A house across the road (back side) has some sort of monitoring alarm that beeps every couple seconds. It stops for a minute, then starts up again. I have no idea what it is but it is driving me crazy. Similar to a smoke detector, but whatever it is located on the outside of the house.

I sent a letter to our HOA.

My neighbor behind me is a lawn freak. He mows nearly every day.

Lawn care

When I worked second shift, I could sleep through lawn mowers, cars, people yelling and the life flight helicopter at the hospital nearby.

I never could sleep through the leaf blowers!

And this was Texas, where there aren't THAT many trees.

You just reminded me I have to figure out how to get my lawn mowed again because I don't have a lawn mower anymore since mine literally fell apart last year!

I donít think Iím petty for being annoyed when neighbors mow after 9:00 in the evening or before 8:00 in the morning. Any other time of the day it doesnít bother me.

But I am bothered by the neighbors behind me, when they talk outside during the day. They are loud talkers, and the way their voices carry, it sounds like they are on my property. Their talking is distracting and annoying to me.

School across the street

The school across the street is mowed almost every day. I'm not kidding! They start at 6 a.m. and mow until school starts. They keep the football field grass short because the kids use it daily. It is very, very annoying!

That's one of the things I love about not having super-close neighbors. I don't have to listen to their lawn care. The closest neighbor is the farthest from the bedroom, so that helps.

This morning I was grousing about being awakened by an industrial wood chipper across the street. Then DH reminded me that it was after noon.

for me it our neighbour's air conditioning unit. It is a very old one that sits outside their home and it goes on and off ALL night. It drives me nuts! I could get used to the sound if it would just stay on all the time, but the cycling on and off is super annoying.

In our neighborhood we have a lot of tolerance for early yard care because of the heat. Some folks get started by 6 am. I don't appreciate it, but I would never complain to the neighbor about it.

The neighbor across the street was working a power saw at 10:00 p.m. the other night. My husband went outside into the backyard and I was going to chase after him to stop him from fussing about it, but he said, "I'm not going to say anything I just want to see what he's working on."

We have a neighbor who constantly is up on his roof blowing it off. At least twice a week, usually around 5 PM when I am out on the deck having happy hour. So annoying. Because of the landscaping our deck is usually private, not visible from other houses. Unless someone is on his roof using his very loud blower.

I get your vent. A few weeks ago I put my GD down for a nap and the neighbor's gardener began mowing and blowing grass everywhere It took several hours before GD was cooperative and wanted to lay down again. I was one tired granny We do have an HOA here and no neighborhood noise is allowed after 10pm or before 8am. At least we have that rule.
