Fashion advice needed

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Hey, PT friends, I need some fashion advice. Iím going to wear the purple dress in the photo to a wedding this weekend. It will be cold here, possibly a bit snowy. Should I wear pantyhose and, if so, what colour? Itís been so long since Iíve had to wear a dress in the colder weather. Iíll be wearing black dress pumps with a bit of a heel, if that helps. Thanks in advance!

I LOVE your dress and I think you'll feel more "dressed up" if you wear nude stockings. I hope it doesn't snow....but enjoy yourself!

Your dress is very pretty and looks great on you. I would also wear nude pantyhose. Enjoy the wedding.

Yes, I third the notion of nude pantyhose. I have a pretty wool shawl that would look great with it. Find a shawl in deep purple, deep teal, and burgundy--jewel tones in case it's cold.

Thank you for your kind words and fashion advice. I think I will go with nude pantyhose. And Timeforbed, I love the idea of the shawl. I will look out for one. As for the dress, can you believe I got it from Amazon?! I had looked at our local mall, and I hated the styles that were available! None of them looked good on me, so I decided to check out Amazon. I love my purple dress, and it only cost $40 Canadian!

Dress and hosiery

I love that dress. Might be odd man out here, but I vote no on hose. No one wears them any more. The look is very dated. You might be able to get away with sheer black hose.

I was just at a wedding in WA where it was cold and raining. No one had hose. The reception was indoors.

Your dress is very pretty! Yes, I would find a nice pair of sheer stockings to wear. I may be old school and I know that most people do not wear hose anymore, but I think they can make a world of difference to an outfit. Plus shoes are so much more comfortable with them. Have fun!

I usually don't wear hose, but put a high quality self tanning product on my legs. It just makes mine look less ghostly. Also, body lotion. My legs are dry.
