Darn it! Biopsy result

So it looks like I have a microinvasive ductal carcinoma. The good thing is that it is very tiny ( not even a mm) so it is super early. I am going to have a lumpectomy in a week or two. I will find out tomorrow the exact day. They are going to take a lymph node to biopsy and hopefully that is ok. I will have to do radiation, to be determined based on the pathology results. I am thankful this was found so early.

That's good/bad news! I'm so glad it's early and so small. I had the same thing last year. It's really more of an inconvenience than anything else - not to minimize the fear of hearing 'carcinoma', though. You've got this!

I had been having some worries because I had to get a follow up mammogram after a biopsy 6 months ago. I had much better news than you did just today! I can imagine how I would have felt if I had gotten the same news as you did. So glad they caught it early, which is exactly why we do all these tests in the first place. Keep us posted on your progress. Know that I will be thinking of you.

I went through this 3 years ago and am doing fine now. You are extremely lucky to catch it so early. I know lots of women my age who have gone through this and are living a great life now. You will get through this and move on with your life.

I am sorry about the diagnosis but so glad it was found that early! Chances are at that size it will not be in your nodes but good that they are making sure. Prayers abide for you!
