Well, after 20 years, my family going to open the time capsule DH and I made back on December 31, 1999- before kids. Not sure what is in it after all this time.

The kids want to make a new one tonight. Any good ideas of what to put in it???

So far, we have a receipt of what we bought to eat for our New Year's Eve dinner and a newspaper from today.
Any ideas are appreciated!

Perhaps a current picture of all of you
A list of favorites such as foods, tv shows/movies, games, etc.
A list of I wonders... or expectations
The latest phone model you're using, lol That would be interesting in 20 more years!

Have fun

I’d include some used tech stuff that will probably be obsolete in another 20 years: a battery, ear buds, a dead phone....

Maybe have everyone make a list of favorites - movies, songs, vacation destinations, food, etc.
A favorite piece of clothing, knick knack, stuffed animal, book, toy, etc.
I love the idea of some kind of tech.
Ticket stubs to movies, amusement parks, etc.
Some kind of id/card that is expired (old school id, work id, etc).
Cup, bag, or takeout container from a favorite restaurant or drink place.

Thanks for all the ideas!
We now have:
A cracked iPhone
Old Apple headphones that are super tangled up
A student id
A commemorative pin when DH and I renewed our vows
An empty tube of my favorite mascara
A holder of bath and body works hand sanitizer
An doll
Two fashion magazines from this month
Some coasters from our favorite bars/restaurants
A list of favorite memories and favorite things from the last twenty years

I would include a handful of pennies. There’s a really good chance they won’t even be used in 20 years.
