What is everyone doing tonight? We are watching our grandkids so their parents can go out. It's going to be Netflix and hot chocolate.

Going to a neighbor's

My neighbor is a good friend who lives across the street. She is divorced and I am single. We have a tradition of appetizers, some wine and watching the ball drop if we can stay up that long.

Healing from my lumpectomy so no celebratory drink, but I do have legal painkillers

Having a steak dinner and then watching the Twilight Zone on the SyFy network.

I rent from a good friend (also a teacher) and we are eating yummy, bad-for-us food, drinking mulled wine, playing board or card games and maybe watching Netflix. Not exciting but fun!

Cross country skied 6 miles this afternoon, bought food for tomorrow (my birthday-dh will be responsible) and hoping to hit the hot springs in a few minutes. Will come home, watch tv and go to sleep as normal.

I am looking forward to the hot springs.

Only minus the chocolate plus a hot bath. (Already had more than my share of chocolate today). 😬

A perfect evening in my book, too!❤️

My husband and I had planned to watch our newborn grandson so my daughter and son in law could go out, but he is still in the NICU until tomorrow

So my husband has been up at the hospital spending time with them and bringing my daughter food and is now on the way home with burgers for us and we are going to binge watch a new show.

Tomorrow weíll go to my cousins for her annual egg roll party with a lot of the family and then the plan is to go to my daughterís to finally have our immediate family Christmas gift exchange since weíve been waiting for the baby to be home.

My DH and I are staying home. Currently I'm sitting on the recliner with a blanket and my dog covering me. I have book ready to go and the TV is on in the background. There's some champagne chilling and a few chocolate truffles to enjoy. I plan to stay up until midnight...we'll see about that. Our DS went to a house party at a friend's house.

Happy New Year's Eve!

Recovering from surgery here. My big plans:

figure out something for dinner
crochet
watch football
binge watch something
read
sleep

We donít generally go out anyway so this isnít out of the norm for us.

We stay at home. For the past, I donít know how many, years my DH insists that we watch the movie New Yearís Eve and he times it so that when the movie is done we have 5 or so minutes before the ball drops. I do love that movie so I generally donít mind but some years I just want to go to bed.

Boy, we are a hard-partying bunch on PT! DH and I just switched from the Twilight Zone marathon to Jeopardy, and then will switch back. We may play a game of cards, but will probably just watch TV and fall asleep on the couch.

I seem to be the only one on here who likes the night life. We are at a restaurant listening to and dancing to bands, and having dinner and drinks.

The older I get the more often I go out instead of the opposite way of doing that while young and slowing down when you get older.

Man and I just finished a fancy dinner of 8 tapas that I made (if you think "what a great idea!", rethink. It's a ton of work to make tapas for 2). We'll go for our regular after dinner walk, watch Ad Astra (rental), go for another brief walk at midnight to walk into the new year. (I'll believe the walk at midnight when it happens.)

Yep, a crazy night for us!

Happy New Year!!

We did board games with the kids I played lots of video games with no guilt! Now everyone but DH is in bed. I'll be going to sleep.soon. We haven't tried to do anything the past few years and it's nice. I feel like I still need a break from celebrating Christmas.

We finished watching The Witcher and moved on to season two of Lost in Space. We ate supper at a local Mexican place, took an early shower, and have been watching tv in bed. DH is going to be asleep before midnight. These dogs canít hang. DH is fading fast. He might not make it until midnight.

I was planning to stay in, but decided at the last minute to go out with some friends. I have the next several days to relax at home and do nothing . We had planned to do some bar hopping, but the 2nd bar on our route had some really good 90s/early 2000s music and we ended up staying there until midnight. I was lucky enough to catch a cheapish Uber home around 12:30 and have been eating some snacks and watching Netflix since I got home.

We went with two other couples to a restaurant in Newport. Then, we barhopped on the way home (we had a designated driver). At midnight, we were in a local place having champagne. We bought salmon and shrimp for today. After a very looong walk.

We went to a friend's house, just a few miles away. The 6 of us played board games and ate, then toasted at 11pm with EST in case we couldn't last until midnight. We ended up making it until midnight, so we toasted and celebrated again!
