I went to the San Diego Zoo yesterday and my wonderful tour guide was a friend I made right here at PT.

My grandson operating an old printing press at "Spirit of Christmas Past" at the historical park. The print was a quote from "A Christmas Carol" (I will honor Christmas in my heart and try to keep it all year.) and we had just seen the musical that morning.

I took this in San Diego's Old Town. Mid-December, sunny and clear, temp in the upper 60s. Guaranteed not a white Christmas this year.

I glued a few flowers and little pin onto a plain felt bonnet. This was my last thing to get ready for the Dickens Fair tomorrow.

Getting ready for visitors
Old 12-13-2019, 02:48 PM

We have the stroller and baby play yard. The car seat should arrive tomorrow and I will buy diapers soon. Christmas day my husband and I will go to the airport to pick up our son, his wife and our grandson visiting from Tokyo. I'm so excited!

In the background of this picture is the former Hitachi Aircraft Tachikawa Plant Substation. The damage to the building that we see is from US air raids. The building has been saved as a war memorial and sits within a public park. We visited the park when we were there but didn't get to tour the substation because it wasn't open for tours the days we were there. It's strange to see pictures of my grandson in places I recognize from out visit there.

I saw something like this on a little pickup truck on my way to school this morning. I had fun watching Woody hang on tightly all the way down the road. I needed the smile.

We went to a local barbecue place for supper, and we had Kentucky egg rolls, which are made with pulled pork, smoked cheddar, and coleslaw. Dip in barbecue sauce.

I have had red frameless candles for years and saw at a local shop some buffalo plaid ones. Rather than spending money on those I used hot glue and fabric to create my own. I spray painted some pinecones and added a few greens.Click image for larger version

Here is my beloved P, kneeling as Santa in front of the baby Jesus at our school’s Christmas show. It was a wonderful evening.
