Do you take advantage of senior discounts? I always seem to forget until after I have left the store or restaurant.

I know Pollo Loco here in CA gives senior discounts because I've gone there with my dear brother who never misses a chance for a discount. And he's a year younger than I am. Pollo Loco has great chicken and lots of healthier sides than the typical fast food place.

In my part of NC, Publix offers a 5% discount on groceries to seniors on Wednesdays. Harris Teeter does the same on Thursday.

Senior Discounts...

i am all over them if I know someplace that offers them.
Here are some i know about:

Many movie theaters offer senior prices. Of course, the first showing is usually a discount that is the same, and several theaters in my area are offering $6 tickets all the time now.

I don't buy lot of beverages out, but Dunkin' Donuts offers a senior discount. I think you also can get a free donut if you are a member of AARP.

Sweet Tomatoes/Soup Plantation offers a senior discount. I take advantage of that one when I am in Florida, as there are none in NJ.

Kohls has a senior day. Not sure when it is. It may be just once a month.

If you are in the Midwest, Culver's gives 10%, but you have to ask for it.

Thanks, everyone! And 1956, thanks for the list. I don’t shop at most of those places, but I definitely could have saved a lot at Subway if they all give 10% discounts to seniors.

I did get a senior discount (without asking) when I became a member of the San Diego Zoo.
